Voicemail

You will not be charged for activating your voicemail service.
Your calls to retrieve your voicemail messages are charged at national rates.

Activating your Voicemai

Note
  1. If you did not choose voicemail feature when you purchased your phone, please email HanaCell to activate voicemail.
  2. You must activate voicemail from your phone within network coverage.
  1. Press and hold 1 on your handset. You will be connected to your voicemail box.
    * If you do not hear Voicemail mailbox prompts as below, your voicemail box may not be set up. Please contact HanaCell.
  2. “To hear your Voicemail prompts in English, press 1”, press 1
  3. “You will hear your mailbox prompts in English. To confirm this change, press #. To cancel, press *.”, presshash key “Language changed.”
  4. “ Welcome to your new mailbox. This brief tutorial will help you set up your mailbox. First you should select a permanent password that only you will know. Please think of a permanent password now.Please enter the password you have chosen, then press #”
    Enter your new password, and press hash key
    *You may need your password when you listen to your voicemail message or when you change your voicemail box settings.
  5. “For your password you have entered «Your password»”

When you have a new message,

You will receive an SMS email to notify you. You are not charged for receiving this message.

Lisening to your messages

From your handset

  1. Press and hold 1
  2. You will be connected to your voicemail box and you will hear your new messages.
  3. After you listen to your message, you can press
  • 7→([To delete this message])
  • 9→ ([To save message in your archives])
  • 0→ ([To hear more options])

To listen to your messages remotely from other phones

  1. Call your own HanaCell number
  2. Press Asterisk during your own greeting.
  3. Enter your password and press hash key
  4. After you listen to your message, you can press
  • 7→ ([To delete this message])
  • 9→ ([To save message in your archives])
  • 0→ ([To hear more options])

Switching off your voicemail

Please email us and we will switch the service off for you.

To reactivate your voicemail.

You will need to contact us again and we will switch the service back on.
Then you will need to follow the procedure to activate your voicemail as above from your cell phone.

Change greetings

You can change greetings to your own from your voicemail box settings.

  1. Press and hold 1
  2. Once you are connected to your voicemail box, select 4 ([Personal Options])
  3. 3 ([For greetings or to record your name])
  4. 1 ([Change your personal greetings])
  5. 3 ([Personal Greeting])

    Record your message after the beep. Presshash key when you are done.

  • →To listen to your greeting, press 1
  • →To finish setting your greeting, press hash key
  • →To re-record your greeting, press Asterisk
