World SIM Card Support

SMS

Although you should be able to send and receive text (SMS) messages, this service is not guaranteed. This is especially true if you are texting from a non-GSM phone to a GSM phone (or vice versa) as the two different systems often have problems communicating with each other.

Sending an SMS

Use the same simple method to send all your SMS messages - wherever you are in the world, and wherever you are calling to.
If your SMS has more than 160 words, your message may be split into multiple messages.

  1. Go to [Menu] → [Messaging] → [Create message] → [Text message]
  2. Enterプラス in [To:]
(WIth most Nokias, press Asterisk twice quickly. If this does not work, try pressing and holding 0)
  3. Then enter the number you wish to send your message to, in the following format:

eg. To send a message to (212-123-4567) dial

プラス 1 212 123 4567

eg. To send a message to a Japanese mobile number (090-1234-5678) dial

プラス 81 90 1234 5678

Receiving an SMS

Regardless of where you are in the world, callers always use the same number to call you.

For example, if they are sending an SMS message to your world SIM number ((0750-123-4567))from the US they should use

プラス 44 750 123 4567
