Change to a different area code

We can issue cell phone numbers with most area codes in the USA.

How to... Order a SIM card only Go to www.hanacell.com English page]from HanaCell's site. You must also terminate your current cell phone contract so that you are no longer charged on your old number. Fees
* Your new SIM card will cost a total of $11 (New SIM Card $1+ Delivery charge $10)
* Enter your new ZIP code in the delivery address field of the shopping cart.
* Your new number will be registered on a new contract.
  • Your monthly fee period will change.
  • Your remaining call allowance will not be transferred onto your new number.
  • We will not credit you your monthly fee for terminating the old number before your monthly fee ends.
  • If you do not terminate your old line, you will continue to pay monthly charges for it.

Change number with same area code

To change your cell phone number to a number with the same area code, you do not need a new SIM card.

How to Contact HanaCell with the following information;
  • Your name
  • Your current cell phone number
  • Your address
Fees
* We will change your cell phone number free of charge.
* You do not need a new SIM card for your new number.
* Your new number will be registered on a new contract. Your remaining call allowance will not transfer onto your new number.

PIN code

You can use the SIM PIN to lock your SIM card to help prevent it being used if it is lost or stolen.  We recommend that you change this to a PIN code of your preference.

You will need your PUK code if you enter the incorrect PIN code 3 times.

PUK code

If the SIM PIN is entered incorrectly 3 times, the SIM card will become blocked and you will need to use the PUK to unblock it. If the PUK is entered incorrectly 10 times, the SIM card will be permanently blocked, and you will need to order a new SIM card.

Security code

Some cell phone handsets will have a security code to prevent it from being used if it is lost/stolen.

If you enter your security code incorrectly and your handset is blocked, you will need to purchase a new handset.

Question:I have been asked for a code and I entered it incorrectly. My phone is now blocked but I am not sure if I entered the PUK or the security code incorrectly. How can I check?

Answer:Ask a friend who uses AT&T for their SIM card and insert it into your phone. If you can see that you have coverage then it is likely that you have blocked your SIM card and not your handset. Please purchase a new SIM card from HanaCell's site. If your handset does not display network coverage then it is likely that your handset is blocked and you will need to purchase a new one.
