【G】 GSM GSM is short for Global System for Mobile Communications, and is one of the world’s leading digital cellular systems. GSM service is now available in more than 170 countries and has become the widely used standard in Europe and Asia.
【L】long distance call Some cell phone companies will charge you for making calls to numbers outside your local area. There is no long distance call charge with HanaCell's plan.
【M】minimum charge Some cell phone companies will charge you a minimum call spend per month regardless of whether you make calls. With HanaCell, there are no hidden or minimum charges.
MNP MNP stands for Mobile Number Portability. When you number port a number, you are tranferring your existing number to another provider. You can number port your landline/cell phone number to HanaCell.
Mobal Communications Inc. HanaCell's parent company is called Mobal Communications Inc in the USA.
Mobell Communications Ltd., HanaCell's parent company is called Mobell Communications Ltd. Mobell was established in 1985 in the UK.
【S】 SIM Card SIM stands for [Subscriber Identity Module]. It is the IC chip that you insert into your phone which enables you to use the cell phone number with your phone.
SIM Lock Most network operators in the US will have their phones locked so that users can only use the SIM cards provided by them in their phones.
SMS SMS stands for Short Message Service. This feature enables you to send/receive short messages of 160 words to another cell phone number
